Explain the different types of Flows available in Salesforce and when you would use each type.
What to say
Salesforce provides several types of Flows: Screen Flows, Autolaunched Flows (including Record-Triggered, Schedule-Triggered, and Platform Event-Triggered). Screen Flows are interactive and require user input, ideal for guided data entry or multi-step wizards. Autolaunched Flows run in the background without user interaction, perfect for automating backend processes like updating records after a trigger or scheduled maintenance tasks. Record-Triggered Flows execute automatically when a record is created, updated, or deleted, making them powerful for real-time automation replacing many Process Builder use cases. Scheduled Flows run at specific times and intervals to handle batch or maintenance operations. Platform Event-Triggered Flows respond to platform events, enabling event-driven architecture.
What NOT to say
Avoid confusing Flow types or saying all Flows require user interaction. Do not claim Flows can only be used for simple tasks or overlook newer Flow triggers like Platform Event-Triggered Flows.
