To Freeze a User:
- Navigate to Setup: In Salesforce, go to the Setup menu.
- Find Users: Under the Manage Users section, select Users.
- Select the User: Find and click on the name of the user you want to freeze.
- Freeze the User: On the user’s detail page, you will see an option to Freeze the user. Click Freeze to temporarily prevent the user from logging in, while preserving their account data.
To Delete a User:
Salesforce does not allow permanent deletion of a user account, but you can deactivate them.
- Navigate to Setup: Go to the Setup menu.
- Find Users: Under Manage Users, click on Users.
- Select the User: Find the user you want to deactivate and click their name.
- Deactivate the User: On the user’s detail page, click Deactivate to prevent the user from logging in. The user record will remain in the system for auditing purposes, but they won’t have access.
